Indications
Complex diabetic foot ulcers (Wagner grade 2–4) unresponsive to conventional wound care.
Formulation
Injectable solution containing 25 µg or 75 µg of recombinant human epidermal growth factor (rh-EGF).
Administration
Intralesional injection, 3 times per week, by trained wound-care specialists.
Precautions
Contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to EGF. Must be administered by trained personnel in conjunction with debridement and off-loading.
